About LMS

A new style symposium has been planned by CPI members since 2019. We call this symposium 'Life Mechatronics Symposium (LMS)'. Technology of mechatronics supports widely society and life (several meanings of 'life'). All engineering fields are related to 'Life Mechatronics'. So, all fields of researchers related to mechatronics engineering can join the symposium.

The style of the LMS is not only to have presentations and speeches but also to perform activities with participants. Activities of the symposium are research cooperation, human resource developments, technical collaborations, and so on. The subjects of activities are produced by participants with idea meeting with team building as a basic style.

Project Purpose

Overall Goal:
Overall goals are to cultivate and develop education, research, and industry in target counties through life mechatronics technology, and to strengthen communication and exchange human resources between target countries and Japan.
Project Purpose:
Through collaborations with higher education institutions in target countries,
- To foster engineers for industrial development
- To establish a modern and advanced structure for academic research
- To build stable and sustainable relationships of students/professors between the targeted countries and Japan
Expected Outcomes:
- To motivate younger generations to become core engineers
- To establish an appropriate structure for research and education in the target countries
- Engineering builds strong ties for cooperation between the target countries and Japan
